Intro"spectrum"

Today I sold my Spectrum window. This window is one of ten windows coming out of an older home here in my town. I get so excited when someone purchases one of my windows and shares my passion for taking something old and giving it a new life. In many ways the old windows that I use in my art are an inspiration in themselves. Windows are so important to us. They are vessels that allow us to connect with nature while enjoying the comfort of our homes. I sometimes wonder what great things might have been seen looking through the windows that currently sit in my studio. Maybe a loved one coming for a visit or maybe a child at play? Maybe a butterfly moving from flower to flower? Oh if they could only tell stories!

Megan

It is flattering when someone creates art inspired by you.  It is mind blowing when they incorporate your art  into theirs.  So my friend Megan who is working on her senior project at the University of Southern Mississippi did both.  I'm so proud to post this picture that my friend Megan did of me sitting in my studio at my desk.  Flattered.  Mindblown.  Yep.

Business in the front, party in the back

Another day is closing and another window is done! Sneak peak?  Yes please...

This window was inspired by the Double Decker Arts Festival in Oxford, MS.  I will be participating in the arts festival at the end of April, and this one will be coming with me.  After getting it grouted and cleaned today, I will be so happy to see it hanging!

April will be here before I know it, and  I am working on building my website.  Trying to get current pictures up along with measurements and pricing has been a true test to my organizational skills(which are lacking). In the mean time, I thought I would post another picture of my windows currently hanging in the Artwistic Revolution in Columbia, MS.
